As of April 12^th, in all of the Banco Popular branches, people who change their dollars in cash will participate in the promotion “El Popular Te Cambia”.

For each US$100 you will be given a scratch card that you can use to win instant prizes that cover your basic needs for a whole year. Prizes include purchases in the supermarket, gasoline and payment of electricity and telephone bills.  Remittances received in pesos via MoneyGram also participate in the promotion.

Contest Rules

1.- Who can participate in the contest: individuals who sell their dollars in cash in the branches of the Banco Popular, besides those who receive their remittances in pesos in the Banco Popular via MoneyGram.  Personal businesses, corporate businesses, banking entities and exchange agents, among others, do not participate.

2.- The promotion will be effective as of April 12 th 2004, through June 15 th 2004, including both days.

3.- A scratch card will be given for each one hundred dollars in cash (US$100) exchanged and/or received via MoneyGram up to a maximum of ten scratch cards per client per transaction. Transactions are limited to one (1) per client per day.

4.- Prizes are instantaneous, and will be delivered in cash for the total amount equivalent to the average cost of basic necessities for a year (electricity, gasoline, supermarket purchase and telephone) with the presentation of the voucher for the transaction in sale in dollars, together with the scratch card, with the corresponding prize.

5.- The winning scratch cards will be exchanged in the office where they were issued.  Prizes for a year will exchange only from Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

6.- Employees, executives and directors of the Marketing Area of the Banco Popular, and employees of the advertising agency and suppliers related to the contest may not participate.

7.-  In order for winners with winning scratch cards, whose prizes are for a year, who are also borrowers or cardholders of this institution, to receive their prize, they must not have been submitted to the legal department.

8.- Winners of prizes in this promotion authorize the Banco Popular to publish theirs names, personal data, voice and image in the press and other media, for advertising purposes without any additional compensation.

9.-  The Banco Popular reserves the right to expand or modify the bases for the contest with regard to suspending or canceling the promotion, as well as the publications of the winners, and may other aspect related to same.

10.- It is expressly stated that other restrictions may be applied.
