BANCO POPULAR’S PRESIDENT HOSTS A TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS COCKTAIL FOR MEDIA EXECUTIVES AND OPINION LEADERS 

Mr. Manuel A. Grullón and his wife, Rosa de Grullón greeted the guests at the vestibule of their residence and invited them to share and enjoy a celebration which has become a tradition for media personalities. 

The best known media industry owners and representatives of their companies participate regularly in this classic event that signals the start of the holidays.  Also invited were television program producers, news commentators, analysts of sociopolitical and economic issues and the social press of Santiago, Santo Domingo and other cities of the country.

Mr. Grullón addressed the guest and commented that in his capacity as hosts, both him and Mrs. Rosa de Grullón, were “greatly pleased with your company and that of your spouses in this activity that we enthusiastically organize at our home to receive such an important group of friends during this special time of the year and that, thanks to your participation, has become a pleasant tradition”.

He added that the Christmas cocktail is an occasion to “express our gratitude for the important support that from your respective and influential positions in public opinion, you have given us throughout the year thanks to your truthful and timely information”.

In closing his remarks, in the company of his wife, Mr. Grullón said:  “It is our wish that that the joyful, fraternal and warm spirit we see in all of you tonight may remain with each one of you throughout the year and in the heart of all Dominican families in this next year of 2004”.

Fiestas Palace and Mr. Tony Abreu were in charge of the decoration. The buffet was the responsibility of Ms. Sharime Gómez. “Nelson Medina & Sumando Amigos”, and “Son Cuatro” were the musical groups who played for the audience.
