STRUCTURAL CHANGES TO MEET GLOBAL GROWTH
Grupo Popular and Banco Popular Dominicano
recently implemented organizational changes that will enable
both companies to maximize the successful experiences of
their executive teams, thus guaranteeing their leadership in
the financial business field.
Motivated by the development of multinational
markets and the opportunities generated by the international
trade agreements, companies are modifying their
organizational structures in order to effectively meet
clients’ needs and tap the growth potential in key product
segments.
Along this line, the Board of Directors of Grupo Popular, S.
A. created a new Executive Vice-presidency of Special
Projects Development which will be headed by Mr. A.
Alejandro Santelises, former Executive Vice President of
Personal Banking and Branch Offices. This new designation
will allow the company to align its management team to
greatest growth opportunities. In this new role, Mr.
Santelises will provide a vast experience of over 25 years
in business, technology, operations, and administrative
leadership for Banco Popular Dominicano.
Banco Popular Dominicano, C. por A.-Banco Múltiple, named
Mr. Fernando Olivero Melo, as the new Executive Vice
president of Personal Banking and Branch Offices. Mr.
Olivero Melo was previously Vice-president of Normalization,
under the Executive Vice-presidency of Risk Management, and
has a long and successful career of more than 35 years
within the financial organization, having occupied diverse
executive positions in the different areas of the bank.
These structural changes will allow Grupo Popular
and Banco Popular Dominicano to meet current economic and
business market conditions.
